Kintsugi Ranch

Kintsugi Ranch

Oak savanna restored and a working market garden that holds its water. The creek runs clear past houses built to stay.

Kintsugi Ranch sits in the limestone hill country west of Wimberley, where the land has been grazed hard for a century. The plan begins underground: rebuild the soil so it holds rain, slow the water across the contour, and let the oak savanna come back on its own terms.

Houses are sited on the poorer ground, not the best. The creek and its banks are left to the land. What gets built is built to outlast its builders.
